The Broad To Go: Social and Political Art

In partnership with Touch Art Supply in Highland Park, 5,500 "The Broad To Go" art kits were delivered to students through The Broad's non-profit arts education partners, 826 LA, Greetings from South Central, Inner City Arts, the Los Angeles Public Library, and School on Wheels.

View and download a free PDF of the art cards from the social and political art kit in English or Spanish. The art cards feature an art activity and prompts inspired by Broad collection artists Barbara Kruger, Jenny Holzer, and Shirin Neshat.

About The Broad's Art Kits

“The Broad To Go” and "The Broad on the Go!" art kits were created so that kids could be creative and experience The Broad from home. The first art kits were delivered in 2020 so that families could get much-needed art supplies while school buildings were closed.

Inspired by Broad collection artists, each art kit contains art supplies, a journal, free museum passes, and art activities in English and Spanish that help develop critical thinking skills.

The Broad is proud to partner with Touch Art Supply and community organizations that are vital to families in Los Angeles and for advancing arts education.
