Please note: Yoko Ono will not be a part of or in attendance of the performance.

This event takes place off-site at REDCAT Roy and Edna Disney CalArts Theater, located directly across 2nd St from The Broad at 631 W 2nd St. REDCAT box office and lounge open 2 hours before showtime for ticket pick up. Pick up your tickets and then head to The Broad to see the exhibition before the performances on Saturday or before or after the performances on Sunday.

Tickets include same-day admission to Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind, The Broad’s third-floor rotating collection galleries, and The Shop at The Broad during regular hours (Saturday and Sunday, 10 am – 6 pm). Simply show your physical REDCAT ticket or proof of purchase at The Broad’s main entrance.

Tickets do not include access to Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Room—The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away (2013), which must be booked separately.

MPA

MPA is a performance and visual artist. Enriched with ritual and theatricality, her artworks critically examine behaviors of power and have proposed questions on the global arms race, patriarchy as governance, life on another planet, and the dysfunctional union of art with capitalist commodity. Her art is expressed through installation, performance, sculpture, and photography. Her artworks have been widely exhibited, including the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston, Whitney Museum of American Art, Hammer Museum, Stedelijk Museum, Gessnerallee Theater, and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca. A frequent collaborator, MPA is a recognized muse for many contemporary photographers and filmmakers. Since 2013, MPA has been a visiting professor of art at the California Institute of Art and in the New Genres Art Department at UCLA. In 2025, MPA completed training at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Los Angeles, CA and at present is engaged with acting for TV, film, and theater.
