There's a tension in the piece for me looking at it between masculine and feminine. Because the pose tends to be quite masculine. Even the details of the fashion of the time is even kind of masculine. It's suit-like, in a way, for, a woman presenting herself within the workforce. NARRATOR This giantess stands about 8 feet tall, a third larger than a standard mannequin. Her weight is mostly on the right foot, in what is called a contrapposto pose.

Connections to Greek sculpture… It could be like an Athena sculpture. Fall ‘91 has pleats just like a classical sculpture.

Up close she is a looming presence, intimidating in both attitude and scale. The only way to meet her gaze is to stand back.
